The roof means the kids can sit outside rest / play outside without  direct scortching heat or heavy rainfall

Collage of the project from start to finish

Maybe your in the collage or you'll know someone?

The personal empowerment (choice) that you can gain from time with these children is defining.

They are very well behaved, very grateful, very happy-with-in whilst with-out much.

As buddha said to the one that said "I want Happiness"
remove "I" which is ego
remove "want" which is desire
you now have happiness

There is a lot of people that participated, many from West Australia,
they donated; time and/or money, they donated words of wisdom (kind or otherwise)
each and all motivated us along the way; the path is not always clear but we want to achieve

Thanks everyone, for the connection with something that helped someone,
other than oursleves, for people that really do need more than ourselves,
many of us do that often (by choice) and your karma is crystalising your life.

We look forward to project 2013 Bangkok Charity: tba

Photo album of the project; visitors; sponsors people and stuff can be seen online:-

Pic:  sponsor lunch 500bt and have a wrestle with the monkeys in the playground...   very funny.

Please know:  Visitors are most welcome, book to a sponsor a lunch. You can book B PAC (Bangkok Personal Assist Concierge) to organise your sponsor day.  Some BPAC members donate the service fee to charity otherwise the fee to the BPAC member is their livelyhood.

Thanks everyone for your feedback.   BRILLIANT IDEAS

1. Web board Directory of sponsors    2. Pledges posted to a world map (google indexed and with details of your business).

I created both models and display them @ 2012 Charity fund raiser Bangkok slum kids

If you would like to have an email copy ofthe latest email me Phillip@auswathai.com (subject: charitybkk).

 --------------------------------------------------

Concerned about the integrity?
2012-02-24 We emailed the foundation seeking official acknowledgment.

DO NOT SEND MONEY TOT US!!!
simply make a pledge, we will record that and resolve the payment process once we've ratified a process than can be audited.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

update: 04/03/2012:
Planning to visit perth WA next week or so and with visa permitting for two (2) Thai helpers from Bangkok, they can help me visit people Perth and collect donations, we can collect Photos of sponsors.

update: 19/03/2012:
The visa process become very problematic, time consuming and expensive but it has been resolved. Now visit Perth with 2 helpers from Bangkok, apart from hosting them to 1 week holiday in Perth we will try to visit as people as possible.  We emailed some peopel to let them know we are coming.

update: 26/03/2012:
There was not enough time to plan (re visa problems) then no enough volunteers in Perth to assist visitors from Bangkok, thanks John and others that gave up their time.
We contacted many people about donation the feedback was

a. need more info in the web page fund raiser - thanks every for your feedback - changes made
b. people prefer to donate to local charity.

update 30/03/2012:
the sub committee (people that have tme to donate) agreed that only prospective sponsors are people that have or will visit Bangkok so they have a copnnection to the project

update: 02/04/2012:
Received correspondence from Child Care centre tio acknoweldge the project. We have requested the document be issued on official letter head from head office
Slight set back:  my PA (Personal assistant) of 2yrs has now resigned so we have to find another translator

update: 18/04/2012:
Business tour guest from Perth WA to Bangkok has pledged a sizable donation, thanks Tom and has indicated his business skills (construction) will allow him to visit and inspect the proposed project and make recommendations. Tom will return to Bangkok late May.

update: 23/05/2012:
Visit the centre with 4 visitors from Perth W.A. <> Some donated money.
Tom decided to suspend his donation and donate ideas (too many cooks in the kitchen).
Meeting with Foundation officials  <> outcome > approve existing construction plans and commence building.
Timeline: Construction: 4 to 6 wks based on weather conditions and admin team work.

AusWaThai and Bangkok APAC charity project 2012

Roof needed for the kids Playground

Our tour group guests from Perth West Australia visited several worthy Charity groups in Klong Toei, Bangkok during late 2011 and early 2012.  more

It was overwhelming and fun to visit the kids and share a few smiles.  The staff are very devoted, their love for the children parental and inspiring.

We tried their playground, we were scorched
by the sun, the playground has no shade

We called for a quote to install a roof over the playground
and seek community support

Quotes received indicate approx 300,000baht required

We will completed due diligence and post progress reports

 Foundation for slum child care

Through their Daycare Centres and by supporting privately run daycare homes, the Foundation provides care and education for children aged from four months to five years old.

They also reach out to help other slum babies and infants in their own homes through the help of community volunteers.

These children come from low-income families, and many suffer from neglect, malnutrition and abuse. The foundation supports nearly 2000 children, every day.
