Sookie สาวเสิร์ฟในร้านอาหารเล็กๆแห่งหนึ่งใน Louisiana สามารถอ่านความคิดของคนอื่นได้ทั้งโดยตั้งใจและไม่ตั้งใจ วันหนึ่ง Bill แวมไพร์หนุ่มรูปงามได้แวะมาทานอาหารที่ร้าน เมื่อ Sookie เห็นก็เกิดความรู้สึกถูกชะตาขึ้นมาทันที ส่วนหนึ่งอาจเป็นเพราะ Bill เป็นคนเดียวที่เธอไม่สามารถอ่านใจได้ แต่ Sookie จะทำอย่างไร เมื่อพบว่าการเข้าไปเกี่ยวข้องกับพวกแวมไพร์นั้นน่ากลัวและอันตรายกว่าที่ เธอคิด
เป็นเรื่องในโลกที่แวมไพร์เปิดเผยออกมาในสังคม และอยู่ร่วมกับมนุษย์ แต่ทว่า ตอนนี้แวมไพร์มีเครื่องดื่มแทนเลือดแล้ว นามว่า True Blood แต่ว่า มันทำให้แวมพ์ไม่ต้องกินเลือดคน และมนุษย์ปกติเอาไปกินได้ ถึงแม้ว่าแวมไพร์จะเปิดเผยตัวในสังคมแต่ก็ใช่ว่าจะได้รับการยอมรับโดยดีนัก เป็นเรื่อง ของแวมไพร์ที่ เข้ามาปะปนกับ สังคมมนุษย์ จนเกิดเรื่องราวขึ้น

Sookie is a waitress at the restaurant in Louisiana. She can read what you are thinking,even if she doesn't want to. One day,Bill handsome vampire comes to have dinner where she works.She is attacked by him suddenly because he is the only one whom she can't read his mind,but what to do when sookie found that they become invovled with the vampires scary and dangerous than you think. It's in a world where vampires come out in the open society.and coexist wit human,but now instead of vampire drinks the blood called "True Blood" ,but then it doesn't need to eat the glowing pipe human blood.and normal human to eat out.
