Yasothon Orphanage (Thailand) - Free travel for Inbound Helpers

Hi ALL

I am working with an Australian group that helps out Thai orphans. In November we plan to travel to Yasothon province and refurbish an orphanage that has fallen into disrepair. Kind of a Thai Backyard Blitz. The orphanage has 182 kids most of them HIV positive. The charity is called Hands Across the Water and 100% of all donations go to the kids. I need a Thai speaker to come with me to Yasothon to find accommodation, transport, materials etc. I shall find the money for your fares etc.

Please amended your post to include travel dates

also i know an West aussie (David Clarke) that is back to WA every few months and then back to his thai wife in Yosathorn so maybe he can help)  i will send him and email and ask him to view your post

Hi Sawsdee

The dates for the work to be done are Nov 15 until about Dec 3. But we need to do a trip ip there before that to organise things like accommodation, transport, maybe a cook a translator etc.

Thanks for your interest, any help is welcome. I just wish I had more time to try and learn some more Thai.

  AIDS in Thailand :  Mission is to protect such Reducing the epidemic of AIDS ,Educate ,Volunteers help counseling and health services,  Promote responsible behavior use condoms, Transfusion safety, Service information and reduce in faction from mother to infant. People with HIV infection in the body.  AIDS destroys the body’s immune system. Cause infectious complications or certain types of cancer and leads to death.  If not treated properly.  For AIDS patients. If they receive health care minds well can live longer with AIDS.            Community.  AIDS patients can participate in various community such Cultural , Festivals ,Education ,Sport etc.  The establishment of AIDS patients group or volunteers in the community.  Social services or assistance to patients themselves.    AIDS patients most professional as  Employment or Labor followed by agriculture.  Working group. Teenage group and from mother to infant . HELP such Subvention , Medicine and medical expenses. Milk for babies.  But not enough for living. Expenditure on other necessities. That can not help a lot more.

would be great if you could create a forum article to track the progress of your project and include pics and i will do what i can to generate publicity.

as an example
just finished a tour to Thailand for Songkran with aussie group of 12, we created a forum article, you can find it by searching the word "songkran".

Hi all,

Thanks for the suggestion about a discussion group Sawasdee. I shall get on it in a week or so. The delay is because I have been talking to David via email and we are to meet in York soon. I was trying to organise how to meet him when he suggested today that he will pass thro my own town on the way to work in Kal.

Anyway after the meet I shall fill you all in.
