Thai Kite : ว่าวไทย (Wau Thai)

    The summer period from February to May, Thais and foreign visitors in Bangkok have not only enjoyed flying kites at Sanam Luang (near The Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew )but have also had the good opportunity to see kites from every corner of the world fly together in the Thailand International Kite Festival,  When the festival is on, the sky above Sanam Luang is painted with various kinds of kites in different shapes and forms. Kite fighting or “ the battle in the sky” between Chula and Pakpao is Thailand’s own traditional and most popular.
