In Summary
We are trying to find and promote details of EXPERIENCED Visa agents either in West Australia or Thailand to assist with Visa

We contacted the Australian Embassy - surely they would know which agents have more experience than others so lets promote.
The embassy advised they are not allowed to give feedback but they suggested the Australian tourism Website promotes a list of recommended Visa Agents in Thailand

We inspected the website: 

2009-07 contact Tourism Australia with our queries - they refered us to more government depts. These departments do not promote telephone assistance, they refer us to websites. 
We checked the websites and reported back the errors. We also stated the website does not answer our query. The reply was we can not help or try another dept.

2009-10 - we encounter the same problem with all deptartments of Tourism Australia and Tourism WA including the Minister for Tourism. No one will discuss the topics or assist other than to refer us to websites. The culture promoted by Government agencies including Minsiters is anti social

2009-10 - contacted Tourism Australia.
They promote approx 140 visa agents in Thailand.
We requested their email address - the answer was - no because the data is private.
We were recommended to contact them via the Tourism website - the function does not work so we reported it to their office.
We asked why they are not focusing on helping us promote - they did not answer the query and referred us to the regional office in Malaysia that handles Thailand.

2009-11 Tourism Australia refered our query to the Asian office.

2009-11 no reply has been received

2009-12 we contacted the Minsiter for Tourism in WA and they refuse to discuss the matter with us

2009-12-05 we lodged a formal complaint with the Ministers office - we received a call from Tourism WA - they suggested our allegations were incorrect and would do what they could to assist.

2009-12-11 we tabled the allegations to Tourism WA - they vowed to investigate

2009-12 Tourism Asia contacted us and said all our emails never arrived - their service must have lost them. They said everything in Asia is fine thanks for asking and can not help us because of Privacy laws in Australia and please put the matter to rest?.

2009-12 Tourism WA under Direction of Tourim Minister instructed to assist us

2009-12 Immigration office Bangkok - interest to hear our proposal for a Panel of Visa agents

2010-01 Tourism WA contacted for progress. They can not get response from Government agenices but will keep trying and here are some websites to try?

2010-01 advised Tourism Australian another section of their website is not functioning.

The summary / observation about Tourism Australia is
It’s been disappointing, not to discover many problems within the perceived “support” structure of Government but the fact that the entities show a “don’t care culture”, it contradicts the definition of “support”
The path is reasonably obvious

·         Give feedback and request service, unfortunately the feedback is treated with contempt and

·         when ask to be accountable they are insulted?

The evidence of our discovery (as tabled on our website) dispels any theory!

2010-01 we will employee thailand staff to collect info from known visa agents, starting with the Aussie recommended agents on the Tourism Australia website.
