PHUKET
6hr flight to Phuket, transfer to Patong Beach - nice beach lots
go 3 star accomodation at the Aussie venue Hotel Stoney Monday located on the 2nd road, only 350mtrs from the beach - no swimming pool but small hotel with lots of english speaking guests and staff so you can find out a lot quick AND IT'S LOW PRICED.   The Owner Rell is from WA

The Hotel is only a 5/10 min walk from Bangla Road (Nightlife)


PATTAYA
Take a domestic 1.20min flight from Phuket to U-TAPAO Airport  - it's a military airport but used for Domestic flights and then 30 min taxi ride to Jomtien / Pattaya.

At this point you have the choice to taxi up to Pattaya or go south to the island Goh Chang .. it's worth a visit ... if you just need to Veg for a few days.. it's some tranquil  (it also has bars so don't worry) but then rest up and go hit Pattaya

Pattaya is a beachside location on the gulf - Golfers Paradise and the nightlife is enormous. Their famous "Walking Street" (google it) is amazing and bizarre ... it's 10 x bigger than Phuket's Bangla road (which by the way is a walking street at night (no cars)

I've stayed in about 10 different hotels in Pattaya and Jomtien from the low priced ex pats places and thai style to the 5 star internationals.

If someone is interested i can list a few of the Hotels in terms of the approx price, what's good and bad

Jomtien is a suburb next to Pattaya which is on the beach but family style (not so much nightlife)

BANGKOK 
Stay in Sukhumvit - that's the main road. The expats region is betwene soi 4 and soi 30ish.  too many places to name and have never really had the time to tackle them.

I can list a few of the places and people for contacts if your interested.
