Let me start with a small introduction of our company. We are Dare La Luce, a small wine-importing company in The Netherlands. We are specialized in Italian wines, at this moment from Tuscany, Le Marche and Veneto, but we expect to increase the number of wines we import and the regions these wines come from. For this we are setting up contacts throughout the whole of Italy. Maybe, if business goes well, we will broaden our variety of wines even more and start importing from other countries as well.
Last year we visited Thailand and were surprised about the wines in various restaurants. Most of the wines came from Australia and South Africa and only a few from Europe. The wines that did come from Europe were mainly French wines, there were hardly any Italian wines. This gave us the idea to examine the possibilities for exporting wines to Thailand. With the knowledge we have about European wines, the contacts we have with Italian winemakers and marketing people in the wine business in Italy we believe we can make a valuable contribution to improving the export of Italian wines to Thailand.
Our main problem is that we have no contacts yet in Thailand and are looking for ways to reach wine sellers in Thailand. Therefore we write you this email. On your website we saw that you are already exporting to Thailand. We are looking for help to get the export started and to get answers on a lot of questions we have. It may seem odd that we turn to you for help, but when you think about it is not as odd as it looks. This can be good for you as well. We not only have knowledge about European wines, but we also have experience in importing wine in Holland and wine trade in Europe. If you plan on exporting to Europe we can help you with the red tape here in Europe and we can get you in contact with various wine traders here.
The post important question we have is: how does trade in Thailand work? We understand that most trade is handled through an agent or a distributor, is this correct? And how do we get in contact with agents or distributors in Thailand?
Thank you in advance for your help and if we can anything for you in return, just let us know.
The wine project was DISCONTINUED some years ago, it was, then quite difficult because I did not have adequate inbound assist ie., lack of local knowledge and I personally wanted to engage with the Thai Culture whereas I found myself limited to Westernised Hospitality venues teaching and training about wine.
Over the last few years we have developed a few cultural projects namely
1. www.auswathai.com; Directory service linking Aussie and Thai for Community, Travel and Business
2. Aussie Exec Tours Bangkok: Tour concepts for Business Execs and their teams for Team building, Business networking and Rejuvenation
3.Bangkok APAC; Inbound Personal Assist <> Concierge services
Today my focus is Bangkok APAC as we develop that concept; it's infused with Tourism Bangkok where we create shared themes for Travel Agents local and international
About Business/Commercial networks
We are available on a fee basis for represent / liaise / consult, my consult services are foremost for Australian to Thailand however we have associates in Bangkok that can assist people from other countries
Best wishes with your business
