just received this email circular  .. have done my best to copy and paste without change to the content (sorry I can't read thai .. but I can say "Sawatdee Krup")

I will show a link to this article in my facebook and my twitter and ?  other social networks....  I know the good crew at AustCham Thailand are seeding ideas to help (that's where this came from).

As you may heard from the news regarding the worst floods in decades in Thailand's rural northeast. The easiest way to help out the victims is to SMS with wording “Nam Jai Thai”  to number 4567899. It cost 10 Baht per SMS. Your 10 Baht will be donated to the victims ka.

เชิญชวนชาวไมนฮาร์ทส่ง SMS ช่วยผู้ประสบอุทุกภัย  โดยพิมพ์  "น้ำใจไทย หรือ Nam Jai Thai" ส่งไปที่หมายเลข 4567899  ส่งได้จากมือถือทุกเครือข่ายค่ะ  1 SMS เท่ากับเป็นเงินบริจาค 10 บาทค่ะ  เงินนี้ไม่มีการหักค่าใช้จ่าย และจะถูกนำไปช่วยเหลือผู้ประสบภัยทั้งจำนวนค่ะ

Donations for Flood Victims


As AustCham members and friends will be aware, Korat and the surrounding region have been devastated by flood recently and are in dire need of assistance. 11 have been killed and one reported missing, with hundreds still without help. AustCham would like to make members aware of initiatives that have been set up for those wishing to donate.

By SMS
Channel 3 with the association of AIS, DTAC and TRUEMOVE have opened a SMS service. By typing "namjaithai" and sending to 4567899, 10 Baht per message will be deducted from your credit and go towards relief services.

Contribution Efforts
Maharaj Hospital in Nakhon Ratchasima is assisting and has asked for donations of goods including water, milk, medicines and canned food. To coordinate your contribution efforts, please contact the hospital's 24-hour hotline on 086 251 2188.
