Survey and Promotion for any Businesses with Australia-Thai Links

Hello forum users,

My name is Troy Townsin and I am completing an Australian government funded research project that aims to give businesses with Australian-Thai links a competitive advantage in gaining the attention of the English-language media in Thailand.

Have you ever wondered why some businesses seem to get so much press coverage and others do not? Research has shown that ANY media coverage that is not negative leads to an increased corporate profile.

If you are part of a business with strong Australian-Thai links it would be very helpful if I could take just a few moments of your time to fill in the attached questionnaire, save it with your answers and email it back to me. It is mostly multiple choice and all the information you provide will remain confidential.

As a thank-you for completing this short 5 minute survey, once the project is finished I can email you a list of contact details that I have collected for journalists and editors from more than 15 English-language publications in Thailand who are interested in covering stories/features about businesses with Australian-Thai links. Upon request I can also also offer you a copy of the finished research project.

If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me. I have also attached a plain language statement to this post so that you can see what will happen to the information collected.

Thank-you for your time and I look forward to receiving your completed survey!

Best wishes

Troy Townsin

We asked Troy "what is your Mission",  his reply

To summarize my project -  I'm looking to find the best ways for Businesses with Aussie-Thai links to get their features/stories run in the English language Thai media. I'm doing this by approaching editors and reporters and asking what they are looking for. I'm also asking businesses for their current strategies (via the questionnaire)  so that we can determine what is working and what is not. I'm also looking at stories that have been run over the past 6 months to find out which companies have been most successful in getting their message printed so that hopefully at the end with these 3 approaches we'll come up with a "best practice" solution.

As a bonus to those businesses that fill in the questionnaire - if they are interested -  I'll forward them a list of contact details I've collected for journalists and editors that are currently working in the English-language Thai media.

Have and why some companies seem to be getting so much press coverage and others do not? Scientific studies have shown that every negative coverage leads to an increase in the company.
